“My husband and I shared a Tierra massage after arriving at the hotel and had the best experience we could have hoped for. We sat by the cenote, holding hands while Frida and one of the other masseuses prayed over us, sang and massaged clay onto our bodies. When we were done, we were able to jump in the cenote and wash everything off. Afterwards we enjoyed a couples massage where everything was so thoughtfully curated including the music, lighting, smells and care from our masseuses. It was amazing and we can’t wait to go back again! Everyone was so attentive, lovely and kind.
We also had the pleasure of being a part of a temazcal- an experience that encouraged us to connect with ourselves and with everyone sitting with us. Having never done this kind of experience before, we were so grateful to be led by Carlos, Frida, Luis and Frida. Not only were they conscious of our needs providing water and allowing us to take a break if needed, they took the time to explain each aspect of the ceremony making it so much more meaningful and heartfelt. We felt refreshed both in body and in spirit at the end.
The Kan hotel, staff and the Aa’Kab Ancestral Spa are all part of a beautiful experience which we would reccomend to anyone staying in this area.”
